We take the stress out of buildings and budgets.

Running great schools for students? That’s your job. Charter school finance and real estate? That’s ours.

PSwrx is the only charter school partner with an integrated team of finance, real estate, and facilities management experts.

Meet Our Team

Centering students since 2005

PSwrx is new, but the experience and approach we’re scaling is decades in the making.

We were founded by finance and real estate experts who saw a need to bring for-profit-caliber strategic support to the charter sector. The stakes are higher—children’s academic and social growth—and the resources more scarce.

PSwrx team members have helped over 90 schools navigate strategic challenges that shape long-term success. Our experience making high-stakes decisions in service of students and educators is what inspired PSwrx’s founding in 2024, and continues to guide our work today.

How we’re different

Multidisciplinary lens

Where finance meets real estate meets operations, we catch what others miss. Our team’s technical training plus operator experience allows us to see around corners, connect dotted lines, and solve problems before they exist—while delivering cost savings and stability.

Seamless part of your team

We don’t operate at arm’s length. We work with school leaders, close to decisions and day-to-day realities—sharing accountability for outcomes, not just recommendations. That proximity allows us to support through complexity, pressure, and change.

Capacity-building approach

We strengthen internal teams, systems, and leadership capacity so schools are more resilient over time. Rather than creating dependency, we transfer knowledge and build organizational muscle.

From buildings to budgets, we’ve got you covered

Every engagement starts with a challenge:

  • How do you secure financing when lenders won't take a chance on a new school?

PSwrx tapped into long-standing relationships—and built new ones—to secure +$1M in project subsidies, enabling Troy Prep to scale from 100 to 700 students.

  • What happens when you can't find buildings in the neighborhoods you want to serve?

After brokers searched for a year and found nothing, PSwrx knocked on doors to secure off-market properties that became six facilities for North Star Academy.

  • What happens when grant funding goes untapped because the details are too complex?

PSwrx designed a solution that unlocked $2 million in stalled grant funding for Educational Alliance.

  • How do you implement critical repairs while keeping your doors open?

PSwrx developed a sequenced repair plan that allowed Bronx Arts to replace the roof, upgrade lighting, and replace skylights while remaining open for students.

  • How can operating improvements generate immediate cost savings?

Through PSwrx's Developer-in-Residence program, DREAM's leadership team received coaching that identified $750K in annual savings in just six months.

  • What happens when permitting delays put opening day at risk?

When a new campus opening was threatened, PSwrx stepped in as Journey’s fractional real estate and facilities team—managing their entire portfolio through crisis and future growth.

  • How can you plan for growth when you can't see your financial picture?

PSwrx embedded as the fractional VP of Finance for NACA Inspired Schools Network, building the forecasts, dashboards, and compliance systems needed to manage their growth confidently.

  • How do you grow your portfolio when you don't have a real estate team?

PSwrx became KIPP NYC's real estate division, securing $640M across six financings, delivering five facilities on-time and on-or-under-budget, and adding 3,200 student seats.

Trusted by charter school leaders

  • "PSwrx makes the extraordinary look ordinary. Over two decades in the charter and private education space, I’ve seen how rare their level of execution truly is. Across financial planning, real estate, and financing, they are consistently best-in-class, bringing more expertise, boundless creativity, and the tenacity required to drive complex projects. In the end, I trust them to deliver—and they do."

—Jack Chorowsky, Former COO | KIPP Foundation

  • "You might wonder whether you need PSwrx—you do. I had a broker and other advisors. In one complimentary meeting, it became clear: I had plenty of advice, but no oversight. Once the PSwrx team stepped in, everything fell into place. They achieved outcomes others wouldn’t even try. I wouldn’t do this work without them.”

—Alicia Johnson, Former President and CEO | KIPP NYC

  • "I’ve been in the charter sector since 1999. I’ve heard every finance and facilities horror story you can imagine. At Uncommon Schools, we didn’t experience those issues—and it’s because the team that is now PSwrx had their eyes on all of it. I can’t wait to see what they do for the sector now that everyone has access to them.”

—Josh Philips, CEO | Change Summer
